LAHS Home Track & Field Meet Rescheduled To Thursday!

Due to the forecast of rain and lightning Friday, the Larry Baca Memorial Invitational (Los Alamos High School Home Track & Field Meet) has been rescheduled to Thursday afternoon, April 27.

Remarkable Performances By Los Alamos Hilltopper Boys And Girls Track & Field Teams At Richard Harper Invitational

The team of, from left, Daniel Kim, Alex Pasulka, Melaki Gutierrez and Grafton Urbatsch broke the 36-year-old Los Alamos High School record in the 4×400 m relay, with a time of 3:22.46. Gutierrez also broke his own LAHS School Record in the 200 m (21.42 sec.) and clocked the #2 all-time LAHS mark in the 100 m (10.53 sec.) Kim ran the #4 all-time LAHS mark in the 300 m hurdles (39.39 sec.), Pasulka ran the #4 all-time LAHS mark in the 400 m (49.86), and Urbatsch posted the #10 all-time LAHS mark in the 800 m (1:57.35). New Mexico Senior Olympics (NMSU) announces their 2023 State Summer Games (27 different sports for all athletes 50 and over) June 7-11 in Las Cruces and at the NMSU campus.

How much: $60 to register (up to 5 sports)

Registration is open until May 15.

All athletes 50 and over are invited to compete at the 2023 State Summer Games, hosted by the NM Senior Olympics. 27 different sports will be taking place in Las Cruces June 7-11 and NMSU reminds the public to register before the registration deadline May 15. Los Alamos Youth Rugby Club Hosts Tournament

The Los Alamos Youth Rugby Club hosted a tournament played Saturday on Sullivan Field. The competing teams were from Albuquerque and El Paso spanning 6-18 years of age. The matches were 7’s and 10’ format, which meant that the matches were about 30 minutes long so that all teams would get their games played.
