Pajarito Mountain Ski Area, in partnership with the Los Alamos Ski Club will host Ullr Fest this Saturday, Oct. 1.
 
Ullr Fest is a community event honoring Ullr, in hopes of bringing a good ski season to Pajarito Mountain this winter. The event includes a brewfest, two concerts, a downhill mountain bike race, a disc golf tournament, and a costume contest.

Saturday’s Ullr Festival includes live music from noon to 5pm by JJ and the Hoolians, and Bronach Celtic Blues. The New Mexico Craft BeerFest is noon to 5 p.m.

The 2nd Annual ¡Fiesta Los Alamos! is just around the corner, and tickets are selling quickly. Last year the event sold out. The organizing group, Los Alamos Rotary STARS, has just announced an exciting schedule of entertainment and activities for the event, which takes place 5-9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6 at Fuller Lodge. ¡Fiesta Los Alamos! promises to be a fun and magical evening for all ages again this year.

This Saturday, July 16, Pajarito Masonic Lodge #66 in Los Alamos is hosting a very special waffle breakfast, to support the Lodge’s fundraising capabilities.

Don Carlson, Master of Pajarito Lodge, says that over the last four years, the Lodge’s popular waffle breakfasts have raised almost $35,000 for 20 different community organizations.

These breakfasts have led to considerable wear and tear on the facility, and the Lodge now needs significant maintenance and upgrades in order to continue these fundraising

Time Out Pizzeria owners Omar and Trisha Sanchez just acquired a brand new sporty delivery vehicle for their restaurant at 118 State Road 4 in White Rock. They plan to purchase a second sporty vehicle for their location at 1350 Central Ave., in Los Alamos.

The couple have owned the White Rock location since 2007. They modeled it after one of Omar’s favorite childhood restaurants in Roswell.

Basketball Star Alex Kirk Dines With Auction Winners

Pro basketball star Alex Kirk is the celebrity guest at a lunch today at the Blue Window Bistro. Los Alamos County Councilor James Chrobocinski and his wife Jackie purchased the luncheon during an auction at this year's Rotary Crab Fest fundraiser. The Chrobocinski's son JJ and Grandfather Jim Bramble joined the group for lunch. Kirk posed for a photo with JJ in front of the Blue Window. Blue Window owner Melissa Paternoster generously donated the lunch. ‘We had a great time and were incredibly impressed with everything Alex has accomplished and is working on,’ Councilor Chrobocinski said.
