Topper Boys Soccer Places Second At State

The Topper boys soccer team places second after falling to the Los Lunas Tigers 2-1 in the championship match played Friday morning at the Bernalillo Soccer Complex. The Tigers were first to get on the score board in the first half on a penalty kick. Then the Toppers scored in the second half on a penalty kick. The Tigers scored almost immediately after the Topper’s scored, which was the game winner. Both teams played a very strong defensive game that kept the score low. North Central Regional Transit District 255 Mountain Trail Fares Waived Nov. 11 To Honor Veterans Day

In partnership with the Santa Fe National Forest and to honor the nation’s veterans and their families, the North Central Regional Transit District will waive fares for all on its RTD Blue Bus 255 Mountain Trail route Monday, Nov. 11.

 

The RTD Mountain Trail provides year-round public transit service from downtown Santa Fe up Hyde Park Road, to trailheads through the Santa Fe National Forest concluding at Ski Santa Fe.

Veterans Day is a time to honor all those who have served in the nation’s military.
 
To commemorate, Bandelier and other National Park areas all over the country that regularly charge entrance fees, will be fee free on Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11.
 
As usual on fee free days, the Western National Parks Association (WNPA) will be offering a 15 percent discount on everything at the park store in the Bandelier Visitor Center in Frijoles Canyon Monday as well.
