The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) are issuing this announcement to raise awareness that Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks on election infrastructure can hinder access to voting information but would not prevent voting.

This data represents the total number of absentee ballot requests received as of 8:30 a.m. today in New Mexico, as furnished by the Office of the New Mexico Secretary of State.

SANTA FE – The Public Education Department announced today 10 new positive cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

Rapid response has been initiated, and all pertinent information has been verified with the schools and school districts.

The following new cases have been reported:

  • Three cases in Bernalillo County. All three infected individuals are staff members who were last on school property

New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) has set two health requirements for public schools to be allowed to transition to hybrid instruction. The respective county must meet two gating criteria: (1) seven-day average for daily diagnoses below 8 per 100,000 people, and (2) testing positivity rate below 5 percent.
