‘Longest Day with the Longest Play’ Underway at Los Alamos Golf Course

Today is the “Longest Day with the Longest Play” at the Los Alamos Golf Course.

PGA pro Donnie Torres will once again play golf most of the day to raise money for PGA youth golf programs. But this year, Torres has invited 12-year-old Sean Rau to play with him. Rau, who will be an eighth grader at Los Alamos Middle School in the fall, “loves golf and loves helping others,” his mom Karen Rau said.

Volleyball Camp Starts Today

HILLTOPPER NEWS:

A High School Volleyball Technique Camp will take place 5-8 p.m. through June 20 at Los Alamos High School’s Griffith Gymnasium.

This camp focuses on teaching the individual skills needed to compete at the high school level with portions on all-around and position specific skills.

Gear Donations Needed for Junior Golf Club Swap

The Los Alamos Junior Golf Association Annual Club Swap is set for 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, June 30 under the big tent at the Los Alamos Golf Course.

The Association is seeking donations of golf gear, including, clubs, umbrellas, head covers, shoes and other gear.
