The doubles team of Thomas Chadwick, returning the ball, and Martin Naud playing in a match against the Las Vegas Cardinals Tuesday afternoon at Urban Park in Los Alamos. The Robertson Cardinal tennis team has been a premier tennis team for decades and their strength and experience was in full swing in their matches against the boys and girls tennis teams. Los Alamos High School Track & Field athletes stood out Wednesday at the Sundevil Invite at Sandia Prep. Here Rafael Sanchez and Duncan Fuehne lead the pack in the 3200 m. Aquatic Center Invites Community To Share Memories Of Pool For 30th Birthday Wednesday, April 25

The Larry R. Walkup Aquatic Center is celebrating its 30th birthday Wednesday, April 25, and the community is invited to get involved in the festivities.

Recreation staff is seeking pool users and residents who would like to share memories of the pool during the last 30 years.

The public, past and present staff, County Councilors, coaches, swimmers and stakeholders are invited  to the 1:30 p.m. cake cutting and share random flashback memories of the last 30 years, the ones that make you stop and just smile.

The Nokaoi Senior Bowl Committee selects top level senior athletes from all over the Country and combines them with 16 of the best college coaches from across the nation. The committee is made up of college coaches, recruiters, and other staff members that recruit college level athletes with the goal of furthering their football careers at the next level.

James Whitehead, a candidate for Los Alamos County Sheriff, has filed a lawsuit in First Judicial District Court against Los Alamos County, Los Alamos Police Department, Los Alamos County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Division, and Los Alamos County Records Custodian Barb Ricci under the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act (IPRA).

Registration Opens For IHM Youth Golf Tournament

IHM Youth Golf Tournament News:

Registration is now open for players interested in participating in the 1st Annual Golf Tournament for youth ministry at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

The format for the tournament is Two Person Las Vegas Scramble and begins at 9 a.m., May 5 at Black Mesa Golf Course in Espanola.

Proceeds from the event support youth programs at IHM.

The IHM Youth Ministry Office works to support high school aged youth and help them build a foundation of strong ideals that they can carry with them into the future as citizens and leaders.
