Del Norte Lady Knights Beat Toppers 39-36

Los Alamos To Host National Swim Teams

Swimmers from the Meiji University out of Tokyo, Japan will host their training camp at the Larry R. Walkup Aquatic Center in Los Alamos. Wendy Lott of the Aquatic Center said the athletes are preparing to qualify for the Japanese Swimming Federation National Team to participate in competitions leading up to the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
 
The dates are not confirmed, Lott said, but they are tentatively set for late February to early March

Los Alamos Atomic Tumblers opened their competitive season this past weekend in Rio Rancho. More than 400 gymnasts from 15 New Mexico teams competed.
 
In the Xcel competition, Los Alamos’ Diamond team won the team competition. Chantel Bibeault took the all-around gold with a 36.15. She also took silver in all four individual events with, 9.00 on vault, 8.95 on bars, 9.05 on beam, and 9.15 on floor. Team mate Hannah Gram took gold on bars and beam with 9.05 and 9.10 respectively.
