Letter To The Editor: Will Gun Control Be Efficient?

I am Camille Romero, a 15 year old at Los Alamos High School and have taken a hunter safety course as well as been in a situation where my family and I have had to use a gun to defend ourselves from a mountain lion.

This experience helped me realize how important guns can be when someone is in a position where they need to defend themselves from an animal or a person. Without a gun, my family and I would have had to face the consequences of getting attacked by that mountain lion.

State Supreme Court Upholds 2016 Murder Convictions

SANTA FE — The state Supreme Court affirmed the convictions and prison sentence of an Albuquerque man for first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit the murder.

The defendant, William York, was sentenced to life in prison – a mandatory 30 years before becoming eligible for parole – and an additional 18 years for the death of 32-year-old Cory Coyner in 2016.
