Wednesday's Los Alamos "Ride of Silence" drew some 30 cyclists who gathered at 6:30 p.m. at Ashley Pond were they formed a silent procession to honor cyclists who have been killed or injured while cycling on public roadways.

Pajarito Greenhouse has provided the community with well-rooted, hardy plants in pots as well as gardening supplies for 18 years.

There are 234 combinations of plant species and colors packed into the Pajarito Greenhouse's 3,600 square feet of display area.

Rotary STARS Trivia Competition To Support Youth Fitness Program

STARS News:

A newly-formed satellite group of the Rotary Club of Los Alamos called STARS (Service to All Rotary Satellite) will hold a fundraising event 4-7 p.m. Sunday, June 2 at the Dixie Girl Restaurant.

The theme of the event is “Are You Smarter than a Fourth Grader?” and all members of the community are invited to join. The evening’s events will include a trivia quiz competition that will be fun for all ages, as well as an all-you-can-eat pasta buffet with salad, drinks and dessert.

Funds raised at the event will benefit a program to provide four weeks of swim lessons to all fourth

COUNTY News:

The 10th Annual Clean Up Los Alamos Day held Saturday, April 27 drew more than 500 participants.

The massive effort helped beautify the community and prepare for wildfire season. Los Alamos County Environmental Services would first like to thank the other event sponsors that make this collaborative community event possible: Los Alamos National Bank, Los Alamos County Community Wildfire Protection and Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Santa Fe.
