Elks Win First Place in 2013 Holiday Lights Parade!

What Does Support for Grief and Trauma Look Like?

This week, in the wake of a tragic death by suicide of one of our high school students, Los Alamos High School marshaled all its’ resources to help support students and adults in their shock and grief. Not just counselors, but teachers and other staff, nurses, secretaries, receptionists, security guards, custodians, administrators and our community. You may wonder at the long list after counselors: aren’t they the experts? The ones who know how to help?

Craig Martin Wins New Mexico-Arizona Book Award for 'Los Alamos Place Names'

Los Alamos Place Names by Craig Martin of Los Alamos won for Best Reference Book when the winners in 53 categories of the 2013 New Mexico-Arizona Book Awards were announced at an awards banquet at the Hotel Albuquerque Friday, Nov. 15.

Los Alamos Place Names was published by Bathtub Row Press in Los Alamos.

“This award isn’t recognition for just me as author, but to the whole editorial and design team at Bathtub Row Press,” Martin said after receiving the award.
