Los Alamos High School Athletic Director Ann Stewart Announces Her Retirement At End Of School Year

Los Alamos High School Athletic Director Ann Stewart has announced her retirement at the end of the school year. She has served as the AD for 10 years.

Stewart had been a teacher for more than 13 years and a coach for more than 16 years prior to being named the Athletic Director. Before becoming an educator, she served as a police officer.

Community Mourns Loss Of Los Alamos High School Youth

The Los Alamos Police Department has confirmed the death of a 16-year-old Los Alamos High School student. He lost his life Monday in White Rock Canyon.

Police explained that as night fell, the location of the youth was too dangerous for first reponders to access. They stationed an officer near the site until morning light today when police officers, Los Alamos Fire Department personnel and Search & Rescue members were able to retrieve the body.
