Tobias had many hard personal challenges in his life and continually worked to overcome his darker side with the help of God and from family and friends. He died as a recovering alcoholic engaged in helping countless other alcoholics to live sober and productive lives. Tobias was always pushing himself to accomplish lofty goals. He loved working out in Krav Maga martial arts and he was an accomplished runner. He ran several full marathons with a goal to qualify for the prestigious Boston Marathon.

As Tobias has said previously, “None of us are going to leave this earth alive.” He was also quoted to say, “The only thing that truly matters to me is, my connection with God, my family, my friends and loved ones.
