on December 27, 2017 - 8:41am

Marcos Romero, 37, of Chimayo is slated for a first appearance Jan. 11, 2018 before Los Alamos Magistrate Judge Pat Casados on three counts of possession of a controlled substance and one charge of concealing his identity.

The charges stem from a Dec. 15 visit to a Hacienda Street address by Los Alamos Police Cpl. Jaime Gonzales and Cpl. Ben Irving in response to a reported domestic dispute. Although not involved in the dispute, Romero claimed to be someone other than himself because he knew he had an outstanding warrant.

The police incident report states that during a search of Romero’s person, 15 Suboxone packages were recovered as well as a Xanax bar and a Benzodiazepine bar.
