Ryan A. Roller of Los Alamos was bound over to District Court Friday on three charges following a preliminary hearing before Los Alamos Magistrate Judge Pat Casados.


Roller was charged with false imprisonment, battery and battery against a household member as a result of a July 19 incident at an address on 39th Street. During Friday’s hearing, Judge Casados heard testimony from Det. Sgt. James Rodriguez, Det. Ryan Wolking, Cpl. Gabriel Nieto and Roller’s neighbor Blake Moon before determining that there was probable cause that the three crimes had been committed and that Roller had committed them.


In other Magistrate Court action, bench warrants for failure to appear were issued for Hallie May Schwenk, Jessie D. Currie, Juanadolfo Gomez and Meadows Tafoya-Romero.


Under the terms of a plea agreement, Lloyd Trujillo pleaded no contest to one count of resisting, evading and obstructing an officer and one count of stalking. Additional charges of stalking, battery on a police officer and resisting arrest were dismissed.


Trujillo received a suspended 364-day sentence for each of the two charges and was placed on supervised probation for a year. He also was ordered to obtain professional counseling or participate in a domestic violence program. Trujillo is not allowed to have any contact with the victim or her family.


Brandon Garcia also entered into a plea agreement and pleaded guilty to shoplifting $250-$500. He received a 364-day suspended sentence and unsupervised probation for 364 days. He  also was ordered to not enter any Smith’s store.
