Christine Monteith with Los Alamos Arts Council and Dr. Bill Nichols, owner of Los Alamos Children's Dentistry, hold up a $1,800 check Tuesday at Nichol's office, 751 Trinity Dr. The money will be used to purchase t-shirts for the arts council's Kite Festival. The festival is May 18-19 at Overlook Park in White Rock. Nichols has supported the Kite Festival for three years. 'We enjoy how it's an event for all the little kids in the community .... it's just a really fun, cool event,' he said. Monteith said the arts council appreciates his longtime support. 'It's wonderful and I'm so excited to continue this partnership,' she said. Photo by Kirsten Laskey/ladailypost.com
