Items Needed For IHM Homeless Bags

IHM News:

Parishioners at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church are preparing another set of bags for the homeless to be distributed in surrounding towns and cities where needed.

They will begin filling the bags at 10 a.m. Sunday in the parish hall.

The following items are still needed for the bags and can be dropped off Sunday morning at the parish hall:

  • Handwarmers
  • Socks
  • Small packets of baby wipes
  • Travel size deodorant, shampoo, soap, floss, lotion and toothpaste
  • Packets of Advil or Tylenol
  • Bottles of water – 8 oz
  • Toothbrushes
  • Toothbrush caps
  • Band Aids
  • Beef jerky
  • Fruit snacks
  • Soft granola bars
  • Feminine products
  • One-load laundry detergent
  • Quart and sandwich size Ziploc bags

Several hundred bags have been distributed in the metro areas since the program began in June 2016.
