Help Still Needed For Guinness World Record Attempt

LAAC News:
To gather 1,300 people carving pumpkins at the same time in downtown Los Alamos and break the Guinness World Record Saturday, Oct. 26 ... help is still needed.
Volunteer roles and schedules:

This role completed by 3:30 p.m.

  • 1 Ticket-to-Wristband person: Take purchased tickets and give numbered wristbands.
  • Meet for orientation 2 p.m.

These roles will be completed by 4:30 p.m.

  • 13 more “Stewards”: Observing and writing down one page observation.  
  • Meet for orientation: 1:30-2 p.m. 

Seven more “Pumpkin Bouncers” (entrance/exit monitors):

  • Stand between traffic cones and ensuring people don’t jump into the carving attempt zone. 
  • Meet for placement: 2:30 p.m.

Four people with video cameras:

  • Video attempt, documenting that no one is jumping in/out of pumpkin carving zone.
  • Meet for placement: 1:45 p.m.

This role completed by 6 p.m.

  • 15-20 people to insert electric tea lights in pumpkins for the “World Grand Display” and “Pumpkin Glow”. Meet to get candles 4:30-6 p.m.

This role completed by 9:30-10 p.m. 

  • 15 -20 people taking out candles of pumpkins starting at 9 p.m.
