Girl Scouts Of America Show Support To US Servicemen And Women With Local Million Thanks Drive

on July 4, 2017 - 11:31am

The Girl Scouts of America show support to the servicemen and servicewomen of America, by assisting with the local A Million Thanks drive. The Albuquerque North Stake of the LDS Church held a Leadership Conference for Girl Scouts recently and used the A Million Thanks project as their service project. Our local program received over 100 cards from girls of all ages. Five bundles were sent to local and regional young men serving across the United States and in South Korea. The goal of the project is to regularly sent mailings to boost the spirits of our military. The local box is the only drop location in New Mexico and currently located at the Betty Ehart Senior Center, during regular business hours. Cards, notes of support and the donations of postage can be dropped off but must be in unsealed envelopes. To learn more call 505.695.9139.
