Daytime High School Equivalency Class At UNM-LA

on March 13, 2018 - 7:17am

UNM-LA News:

A new daytime High School Equivalency (HSE) class started Monday at the University of New Mexico-Los Alamos campus.

Classes will run from 1 to 3 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays and will be held in Building 7, Room B11 through June 14. Claudia Ress will be teaching the class.

There is no cost to students for the class which is sponsored by state and federal funds.

Students may join the class at any time during the 14 weeks.

UNM-LA decided to introduce a new daytime class because they had several students who had expressed interest in their night-time class, but couldn't attend at that time. The number of hours students meet each week has been increased in response to requests from students and it is hope that the new time will meet the needs of more students.

For those students who want to attend a night class, or want to attend extra sessions in addition to the daytime class, UNM-LA also offers a HSE class at the Pojoaque Middle School on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 - 8 pm.
