Century Bank is opening a full-service branch in Los Alamos at 751 Trinity Dr., #301.

The bank has leased a 3,600 square-foot space, between Los Alamos Children’s Dentistry and Domino’s Pizza in the Smith’s Marketplace shopping center.

“We are very excited to become a part of Los Alamos. It’s a vibrant community and we’re looking forward to our full service branch opening for business in late spring or early summer,” Century Bank Regional President Gary Lutz said.

Century Bank Vice President/Branch Manager Karen Easton met Monday afternoon with the Los Alamos Daily Post to discuss details and time frames.

“Our move-in target is late spring or early summer,” she said. “I feel fortunate that we get to build this from the ground up. So much has changed in branch design; we will be able to incorporate the latest innovations into the Los Alamos branch.”

It will be a full service branch providing the standard products and services which include checking, savings and CDs, safety deposit boxes and consumer and residential loans for both personal and business clients.  Included with account opening are debit card, online banking, and mobile, wire and foreign currency services. Additional staff will provide trust and estate services, and a lender will be on site to assist with small business and commercial lending.

Easton explained that her branch will utilize universal bankers – each trained to meet the needs of every customer.

The lobby will house a data bar; a space with Wi-Fi and power outlets where customers can plug in their electronic devices for self service online banking or use one of the branches.

“At the data bar we can work with customers to help them set up and fully utilize online banking and mobile banking. Our goal is to help educate clients on the latest tools.” Easton said, adding that the area will be ADA compliant.

Easton said Century Bank is committed to Los Alamos for the long term and has recently purchased land in the downtown area.

“We are committed, invested and excited to be here,” she said.

Easton has more than 25 years of service and banking experience in management, private banking and wealth management. She is a graduate of Portland State University and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science.

Easton resides in Los Alamos and maintains a temporary office in Century Bank’s Espanola Office at 322 N. Riverside Dr. She can be reached at 505.629.5408.
