Anderson School Of Management Announces Fall Career & Professional Development Courses

ALBUQUERQUE  Each semester, the University of New Mexico Anderson School of Management’s Executive & Professional Education Center offers courses designed to help business professionals advance their careers through the Career & Professional Development Programs.
 
These courses help to sharpen skills, advance success, and promote the continuation of learning. 
 
For the Fall 2017 semester, UNM Anderson School of Management will be offering Career & Professional Development Programs in the following areas: SHRM Exam Prep (beginning August 31), Intro to Government Contracts (beginning September 15), Conflict Management (beginning September 19), Nonprofit Management (beginning September 20), Lean Practitioner (beginning October 2), Practical Project Management (beginning September 7), Sherpa Executive Coaching (beginning September 19), Essentials for Managers (beginning September 19), Mediation Certification (beginning October 7), and Lean Master (beginning September 27).
 
“We understand the busy lives of working professionals, and our goal is to develop programs that work with schedules to help individuals achieve greater professional success,” said Audrey Arnold, UNM Anderson School of Management’s Executive & Professional Education Center Director. “Our goal is to see individuals, organizations and businesses succeed, and proper training is incredibly important in achieving those goals. Especially in today’s fast-paced society, continual learning is a must to remain effective and efficient in the workplace. This is a great opportunity to invest in yourself and your career, and we encourage all who are looking to boost their resume, become more effective in their current job, or to advance their career to look into our fall courses.”
 
Classes will be held on campus at the Graduate School of Management building. Students will receive free on-campus parking included in their tuition. UNM Tuition Remission is accepted and available for all Career & Professional Development courses, and there is a group discount of $100 savings for 3 or more students from the same organization or company. Upon completion of the course, students will not only have the opportunity to master the skills needed to maximize their opportunities, but will also receive a certificate.
 
For organizations that want programs tailored to their work environment, Customized Employee Development Programs are also available through UNM Anderson’s Executive & Professional Education Center (EPEC). Course suggestions include, but are not limited to: Managerial Excellence, Customer Service, Professional Communication Skills, Sales & Marketing, Organizational Assessment & Business Development.
