FULLER LODGE ART CENTER News:

Are you confused about the theme of the next show at the Fuller Lodge Art Center?

The Shinyribs Play Friday at Ashley Pond

By Russ Gordon

One of my favorite concerts that we’ve produced during the last 25 years was the Austin country-rock-soul band, the Gourds at the Pajarito Ski Area 4 years ago. Their lead singer/frontman is Kev “Shinyribs” Russell. Do you remember that show? Have you ever seen the Gourds? No? You must catch this Friday’s Shinyribs concert at Ashley Pond. The Gourds have 2 songwriters and singers plus they’re a democratic band where they all argue over who controls the performances and CD production. Kev Russell writes so much great music that he and Gourds drummer, Keith Langford started this other Read More

Local Author Launches New Book About Heroic Dog

Staff Report

“Mason, A New Mexico Hero,” describes the life of a dog, originally a homeless and unwanted puppy, running away, finding himself caught and taken to a shelter, from where he is adopted through the local annual Dog Jog into a loving family.

Caroline Mason is the author of this short story. The book is written in the first person by the dog, so the reader gets the dog’s perspective on the importance of food and regular baths and on his adaption to living in a multi-animal home.

However, Mason amply repays his owner’s trust in him by his heroic behavior in helping his mistress Read More
