White Rock Branch Library Hosts Story Walk

In conjunction with the new Splash Pad opening at Pinon Park, the White Rock Branch Library is featuring a story walk. The story is Jabari Jumps by Gaia Cornwall. The story walk begins at the branch library on Sherwood Boulevard and finishes at the Splash Pad. Los Alamos County Library Youth Services Director Melissa Mackey said participants are encouraged to take a picture by one of the ‘story pages’ and text it to 505.500.4406 for a chance to win a copy of the book. ACT Testing Moved to E-Wing

Students registered to take the ACT exam Saturday, June 12 at Los Alamos High School, should report no later than 7:45 a.m. to the TFA (E-Wing) building.

Students should bring the following:

  • Admission ticket;
  • Acceptable photo ID;
  • 2 pencils (no mechanical pencils);
  • Acceptable calculator; and
  • Snacks.

Students are required to adhere to COVID-safe guidelines, including wearing a mask and maintaining physical distancing.
