Stakeholders Invited To Take Superintendent Search Survey

As part of the superintendent selection process, the LAPS School Board invites parents, students, staff and community members to participate in a survey to provide input on the desired qualities and characteristics of the next leader of Los Alamos Public Schools. 

The survey will close at 11:59 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11 and is completely anonymous. McPherson & Jacobson. LLC, the executive search firm hired by the School Board to assist in the selection process, will compile the survey data and present a stakeholder report at the Oct. 23 School Board Meeting.

LAHS Eco Club Hosts Climate Strike Event At Pond Thursday

LAHS News:

In an effort to spread awareness about the necessity of political action for climate change, the Eco Club at Los Alamos High School is taking part in Climate Strike 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7 at Ashley Pond Park.

Climate Strike is an international movement that was started by activist Greta Thunberg.

NMDOT Supports Walk And Ride To School Day 2021 Oct. 6

SANTA FE — Thousands of students, parents, teachers and community leaders across New Mexico will walk, bike, scoot or skate to school Oct. 6, in celebration of the 25th Annual National Walk to School Day. 

This year, 34 elementary and middle schools in New Mexico have registered Walk to School Day events on walkbiketoschool.org.

The total number of schools and events is expected to grow as celebrations continue throughout October, National Walk to School Month. Participation will fit within local public health guidance.
