Los Alamos County Emergency Management Office Calls For Volunteers To Assist With COVID Testing Beginning Jan. 19

COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos County Emergency Management Office is issuing a call for community volunteers to assist in upcoming COVID-19 testing every Tuesday until further notice at Fuller Lodge.

Coordination for this week’s testing event, as well as the upcoming Jan. 12 event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., has been handled through the National Guard. The desire at this point is to use community volunteers to help on Tuesdays with intake, registration and supplying the Curative “swab” to individuals coming in to be tested.

The Los Alamos County Assessor would like to inform local business owners that their annual Business Personal Property Declaration (BPP) forms were mailed out last week.

The purpose of these forms is to notify business owners of their current depreciated assets on file and to remind them of the statutory requirement to report to the Assessor any personal property they might be depreciating through the course of their business.

Owners have until the last day of February to complete and return these forms to the Assessor’s Office.

Scenes Of Hockey Practice At Los Alamos County Ice Rink

Hockey practice is underway at the Los Alamos County Ice Rink with three sessions an evening for various age groups. Survey Says … County Gets Strong Marks Overall

Last year Los Alamos County surveyed residents on how they thought local government is doing. The County recently released the survey results and overall, residents gave the County strong marks.

Council Unanimously Elects Ryti Chair; Robinson Vice Chair

The new Los Alamos County Council unanimously approved Randall Ryti as chair and James Robinson as vice chair during its regular meeting Tuesday night.

Robinson nominated Ryti and Councilor Sean Williams nominated Robinson. There were no other nominations for either position.

Ryti served as vice chair and Sara Scott as chair for two years.

Los Alamos County Announces COVID-19 Testing For Community Every Tuesday At Fuller Lodge

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos County’s Emergency Management Office is coordinating with the New Mexico Department of Health to hold COVID-19 testing clinics 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Tuesday at Fuller Lodge.

The next clinic will be Tuesday, Jan. 11. 

The County’s Emergency Management Office will be taking over operations for these clinics from the National Guard, which had been assisting in the past.

DPU: Virtual Public Hearing On Replacement Facility For White Rock Wastewater Treatment Plant Thursday Jan. 21
