FBI: New Mexico Man Sentenced To 36 Months In Prison For Attempt To Transfer Obscene Matter To A Minor

EL PASO — A New Mexico man was sentenced last week to 36 months in prison for attempting to distribute obscene matter to a minor in violation of Title 18, Section 1470 of the United States Code, which strictly prohibits such actions.

According to court documents, Alfredo Ramos, 24, engaged in sexually explicit and obscene text conversations with someone he thought to be 13 years old.  In reality, Ramos was texting an undercover employee from the FBI’s Violent Crimes Against Children Squad.

DOE Awards Technical Assistance Contracts For EM Field Sites And Task Order 1 For EM-Los Alamos Field Office

CINCINNATI, Ohio — Tuesday, the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management (EM) awarded seven multiple-award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts for the Technical Assistance Contracts for EM Field Sites (Site TACs).

FBI Releases Second Update With Statistics In Latest List Of Native Americans Missing In New Mexico And Navajo Nation

FBI News:

The FBI Tuesday, Sept. 20 released the second update of its list of Native Americans verified as missing in New Mexico and the Navajo Nation. 

There are a total of 183 missing Indigenous persons on the latest list: 21 individuals have been added and 24 removed since last month’s list of 186 names was released.   

When the list was first released in July, there were 177 names on it.  

The list and updates can be found at fbi.gov/mmip.   

The updated list, current as of September 13, has 115 males and 68 females. The following statistics are provided:
