NCRTD News:

The North Central Regional Transit District RTD Blue Buses, will not be in service Thursday, Dec. 24, Friday, Dec. 25 and Friday, Jan. 1 in observance of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays respectively.

The RTD 255 Mountain Trail to Ski Santa Fe will operate each of those days, and now requires a reservation to ride.

KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE — The 58th Special Operations Wing at Kirtland AFB welcomed Dec. 17 the Air Force’s newest combat search and rescue helicopter, the HH-60W … “Jolly Green II”.

Environment Department COVID-19 Watchlist Update Dec. 17

NMED News:

The New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) has updated its daily Rapid Response COVID-19 Watchlist, which includes New Mexico places of employment that have had two or more rapid responses in the last 14 days.

There are currently 173 establishments on the Watchlist.

The current Rapid Response COVID-19 Watchlist and closure list, which includes all establishments that have been required to close, are posted here.

SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials announced this afternoon 1,702 additional positive tests for COVID-19.

Los Alamos County reports 5 more case today … the total is now 224 people who have tested positive for COVID-19.

The Mexican Wolf Interagency Field Team (IFT) has successfully captured and radio-collared seven of this year’s cross-fostered pups, documenting record success for the program.

Last spring, members of the IFT and the Mexican Wolf Species Survival Plan cross-fostered a total of 20 genetically diverse wolf pups from captive facilities into litters of wild wolf packs.

FBI: Arizona Man Gets 37 Mos. For Involuntary Manslaughter

FBI News:

ALBUQUERQUE – Maroquez Clah, 29, an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation from Red Valley, Ariz., was sentenced Dec. 15 in federal court in Albuquerque to 37 months in prison for involuntary manslaughter.

Clah also was ordered to pay restitution of $4,500.

Clah previously pleaded guilty Sept. 21 to this offense. In his plea agreement, Clah admitted that Aug. 30, 2019, he was driving recklessly while under the influence of alcohol, which resulted in the death of the passenger in his vehicle.

The single-car incident occurred on Navajo Route 13 in Red Valley.
