High Flyers Gymnastics had a successful launch of its 2017 competitive season, taking home five gold medals at the Zia Winter Fiesta Dec. 3 in Santa Fe.
 
Siena Rolfe placed first all-around in the Level 4 middle age division with a 35.0, beating out her nearest competitor by .45. In the same age division, Emily Smith placed first on balance beam with a score of 9.05.

A tough week for Hilltoppers’ hoops, Los Alamos wrestlers take third at Panther Classic

It was a tough week for both Los Alamos High School basketball teams. The boys lost two games and their season record fell to 4-4 on the season. The Lady Hilltoppers extended their losing streak to eight games, falling to 3-10 on the season.

Aquatomics Seeks Fond Memories Of Bill Hudson

Los Alamos Aquatomics will be hosting the second annual Bill Hudson Memorial Open Jan.  28-29. 
 
Many Los Alamos residents have fond memories of Hudson as a respected icon who left a rich legacy for the community to continue.

Council Oks List Of Rec Projects For Bond Election

The Los Alamos County Council this evening voted 5-2 to approve a list of recreation projects and directed staff to develop a ballot question in the amount of $20 million for a May 2017 all mail ballot. The list includes Ice Rink improvements, Softball Field improvements at Overlook Park, a new Recreation Center with Ice Rink, a new Multi-generational pool and a Splash Pad at Pinon Park in White Rock.
