LAHS Senior Elijah Velasquez Signs Letter Of Intent
Los Alamos High School senior Elijah Velasquez signed a letter of intent May 2 with Queens University in Charlotte, N.C. to run track, field and cross country. He has been a key member of the LAHS track and cross country teams over the past four years and has emerged as a top contributor throughout his senior season. Topper Baseball Season Ends In State Playoffs
The Topper Baseball season ended this past weekend in a best of three series State Playoff games played at Jacob Viarrial field at Pojoaque High School against the Los Lunas Tigers. In the first game, played on Friday afternoon the Toppers struggled on both offense and defense and lost 2-10. The second and third games were played on Saturday. The Toppers played 17 innings of quality baseball, winning the second game 2-0 but losing the third game in 10 innings 4-5. Alex Kirk Ices Two Free-Throws To Seal Alvark Title
Los Alamos High School graduate and basketball star Alex Kirk with his father Alan Kirk Friday in Yokohama Japan as the Alvark Tokyo team repeats as champions of the Japanese B. League after beating the Chiba Jets in the championship game 71-67.
