The Case For A BMX Track In Los Alamos

A few years ago, I would go down to the BMX track in Albuquerque a few times throughout the year. Despite my love for the sport, I could not frequently participate because the 2-hour drive to Albuquerque was too time-consuming.
According to the Sports Planning Guide, BMX has been on the rise over the last decade, and from the years 2013 to 2016, made a 43 percent jump in people riding bikes, making it one of the hottest outdoor sports. NICA Launches New Cycling League In New Mexico

BERKELEY, Calif. — With an ongoing commitment to get more kids on bikes, the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) today announced that New Mexico is the latest league to join NICA, which develops interscholastic mountain biking programs for student-athletes and coaches across the United States.

Soccer season for two LAFC Girls teams got off to a good start, with a Pre-Season tournament.
The U19 Chaos took 1st place with 1 loss and 2 wins.
The U12 Lasers took 3rd place with 3 ties and 1 win.
The Girls program is proud to say they currently have one U9/10 pre-comp team and 5 comp teams ranging from U10-U19.
