Cerro Pelado Fire: The Cerro Pelado Fire, 7 miles east of Jemez Springs, started Friday, April 22, during an epic wind event. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Scam Alert: LARSO Warns Residents Of Phony Calls

The Betty Ehart Senior Center spoke to a resident who said that they received a call stating they owed the senior center money.
The local senior centers would NEVER call saying a member owes money.
