NMDOT And Partners Encourage Safe Rides Home Over Labor Day Weekend

NMDOT News:

ALBUQUERQUE — The New Mexico Department of Transportation and its partners are promoting a safe ride home program to combat drunk driving in New Mexico.

Since 2018, NMDOT has partnered with Bernalillo County, the City of Albuquerque, Cumulus radio stations and Uber to provide nearly 27,000 safe rides home by supporting the “Take a Ride on Us” program for people living in the Bernalillo County metro area.

Santa Fe National Forest Offices Closed For Labor Day

SFNF News:

All Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF) offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 5, in observance of the federal Labor Day holiday. Offices will resume regular business hours Tuesday, Sept. 6.

SFNF officials anticipate a significant increase in visitors to the forest as people enjoy the outdoors and all the wonders the SFNF has to offer. If you plan to visit the forest, know before you go and plan ahead. Monsoons remain a possibility. FBI Now Taking Applications For Free One-Day Teen, Collegiate Academies At Fort Lewis College Sept. 17

The FBI is taking applications for its Teen Academy and Collegiate Academy in Durango, Colo., which will be held Saturday, Sept. 17 at Fort Lewis College.

These activities are being led by the FBI Denver Field Office with assistance from the FBI Albuquerque Field Office.

Teen Academies are free one-day events where high school students learn about FBI career options, hear a case presentation, participate in interactive Evidence Response and SWAT demonstrations and learn about online safety.
