Stansbury Leads 17 Members Of Congress Urging Biden To Join United Nations Convention On Biological Diversity

WASHINGTON, D.C.— Friday, U.S. Rep. Melanie Stansbury (N.M.-01) led 17 Members of Congress to urge President Biden to prioritize the United States’ ratification of the United Nations (UN) Convention on Biological Diversity.

In a letter, the lawmakers point to the global extinction crisis, the unique role of Indigenous nations protecting biodiversity worldwide, and the need for U.S. leadership and partnership to halt and reverse global nature loss.

ESPAÑOLA – The Española Police Department is asking the public for assistance in locating Aldo Torrez, 9, and Angelo Torrez, 13. They are believed to have been abducted by Laura Pinon, 33, of Española. 

They were last seen at 216 Riverside in Española. They are believed to be traveling in a 2015 red Dodge Journey displaying a New Mexico license plate of RNX-643.

Los Alamos Police To Change Fingerprint Service Vendor, Expect Temporary Gap In Services

LAPD News:

The Los Alamos Police Los Alamos Police (LAPD) was notified by the New Mexico Department of Public Safety (NMDPS) that they are changing vendors for fingerprint background check support in May.

For Los Alamos, this means that there will be a gap in services after next week until the LAPD can secure a new vendor.

The final day Los Alamos citizens and visitors can complete background fingerprint checks will be Friday, April 28.
