New Mexico COVID-19 Update: 427 New Cases, Total Now 182,475 With 11 New Deaths And 130,775 Patients Recovered

STATE News:

SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials today announced 427 additional COVID-19 cases.

Los Alamos County reports 4 new cases today, bringing the total to 473 people who have tested positive for COVID-19. (County totals are subject to change upon further investigation and determination of residency of individuals positive for COVID-19.)

Today’s update includes 11 more deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19.

The New Mexico Department of Health reports today’s most recent cases:

Kidnapping Suspect Patrick Fernandez Arrested Near T Or C

LAS CRUCES — The United States Marshals Service – District of New Mexico, Las Cruces Police Department, Truth or Consequences Police Department and New Mexico State Police collaborated to develop leads that ultimately led to the arrest of Patrick Fernandez, 36.

Late in the evening of Feb. 17, Truth or Consequences Police Department, New Mexico State Police and United States Marshals Service successfully arrested Fernandez, just north of Truth or Consequences when he was confronted by law enforcement.

FBI: Man Faces Charges In Violent Albuquerque Carjacking

ALBUQUERQUE — A federal judge Thursday ordered that Gael Antonio Rodriguez, 18, of Mexico, will remain detained pending trial for carjacking.

According to a criminal complaint, Rodriguez allegedly approached an elderly victim Jan. 16 in northwest Albuquerque outside her apartment complex and asked her for a cigarette.
