KRSN Radio to lunch with Donny Osmond and Bob Uecker in Las Vegas

Los Alamos radio station KRSN AM 1490 is a finalist for the National Association of Broadcasters' Crystal Radio Awards for the station's coverage of the Las Conchas Fire.  Crystal Radio Award finalists are chosen by a panel of judges representing broadcasting, community service organizations and public relations firms.

Breastfeeding 101

Breastfeeding 101, led by board certified lactation consultants affiliated with La Leche League of Los Alamos, will discuss latch and positioning, baby cueing, what to expect the first few days of breastfeeding, and dad's role in the breastfeeding relationship, Saturday, April 14, 1-4pm, at Family Strengths Network, 1990 Diamond Dr.  The class is $30 and includes a copy of The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding.  La Leche League is a separate nonprofit organization, not affiliated with Family Strengths Network or its programs. ¡Fiesta Primavera! A recital of Spanish Dance and Music is Coming to Town

Prepare to immerse yourself in the beauty and passion of flamenco music and dance in the historic beauty of Fuller Lodge at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 14 as the Pajarito Spanish Dance Alliance presents its annual recital, ¡Fiesta Primavera!.

This year’s subtitle, “¡Qué Alegría!” reflects the joy of living life through song. 

The company is directed by Ellen Walton and includes artists from the larger Northern New Mexico area.

Touching Our Health & Our Senses: Los Alamos’ Newest Living Treasures

On Sunday, April 15, 2012, Edward Macmann, Rosemary O’Connor, and John and Nancy Bartlit will be recognized and honored as the newest members of Living Treasures of Los Alamos (LTLA).  The ceremony and reception, sponsored by Los Alamos National Bank, will commence at 2 p.m. in the Betty Ehart Senior Center.  The public is warmly invited to attend.

This annual event is an opportunity to celebrate the contributions of individuals who have so greatly enhanced life on the Hill.

Elk's Easter Egg Hunt Starts 10 a.m. Sharp Saturday

The Los Alamos Elk’s will host their annual Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. sharp, Saturday April 7 at Ashley Pond.

This is a free event for the entire family.

Kids 12 and under can dash for the many, many eggs that will be hidden all around.

Bring your basket.

A special visit from the Easter Bunny and Elroy the Elk will also take place.
