He always told the story that an Indian midwife delivered him, held him up, and made a pronouncement in her native tongue (which he would quote). When we asked him what that meant, he would say, “That is one ugly baby!”

Shirley Armstrong, 72, beloved wife and mother, would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received a call, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be reunited with her son, sisters, brothers, and parents. She will be painting, gardening and raising chickens to her heart’s content.

She also left instructions for her husband and children to celebrate her time here, which has now been completed.
