DOE/NNSA: Floodplain Assessment Available For Proposed Additional Lane At Vehicle Inspection Port Near East Jemez Road – NM 4 Intersection

The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) has prepared a floodplain assessment for proposed construction of an additional vehicle inspection lane at the guard post near the East Jemez Road and N.M. 4 intersection.

The project is intended to provide expedited inspection times for vehicles transporting time sensitive loads, such as concrete and asphalt to Los Alamos National Laboratory. Nine Area Teachers Earn National Board Certification

LANL FOUNDATION News:

ESPAÑOLA — Nine teachers from Northern New Mexico have been recognized by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) as National Board Certified Teachers.

The teachers were part of the LANL Foundation’s National Board Certification for Local Teachers Program. National Board Certification is one of the highest forms of certification for educators and a recognition of accomplished teaching. Due to the inclement weather forecasted to impact Los Alamos National Laboratory, a delayed opening is in effect for TA-55 shift workers reporting on-site:

          • 6 a.m. shift: Report on-site between 10 a.m. and noon
          • 7 a.m. shift: Report on-site between 10 a.m. and noon
          • 12:30 p.m. shift: Normal report time
          • 3 p.m. shift: Normal report time
