ILA News:

Thanks to the efforts of Los Alamos middle school and high school youth, students of refugee families settled in Albuquerque will start the new school year in style!

An outpouring of support provided the needed new socks, deodorant, lunch boxes, water bottles, earbuds, thumb drives, and gift cards being sought in the week-long youth initiative.

The Youth Helping Refugee Youth drive augmented an Interfaith Los Alamos effort to provide backpacks and basic school supplies to students of refugee families.

The generosity of Los Alamos youth, their parents and many others from all around the community made both initiatives a huge success!

The backpacks, supplies and supplemental Youth Helping Refugee Youth items were delivered to Lutheran Family Services in Albuquerque on Monday.  The items will be distributed to the refugee students at a distribution party in Albuquerque this week.

Interfaith Los Alamos is a community-wide faith-based network of congregations working together to address urgent needs of refugee families in New Mexico.
