CHAMBER News:

  • Scavenger Hunt Continues Through Dec. 2

Los Alamos Small Business Saturday brought out crowds of shoppers to local businesses. Locals and visitors alike participated in Small Business Saturday and shopped in Los Alamos and White Rock. But the fun isn’t over yet!

Open to play for a week, the Los Alamos Small Business Saturday Scavenger Hunt opened at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 25, and will close at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, December 2. The winner of the online scavenger hunt will be announced on Wednesday, December 6. Players have a chance to win $400 in Chamber Checks as well as gift cards from participating local businesses.

Players can still accumulate points by completing challenges and visiting participating Los Alamos Small Business Saturday locations. The locations further away from downtown Los Alamos are worth more points so be sure to visit those businesses! Some of the challenges were only available on Small Business Saturday, but many continue through December 2.

The person or team with the most points at the end of the challenge will be entered to have a chance to win the Chamber Checks and gift cards donated by participating businesses!

Joining the Small Business Saturday Scavenger Hunt is easy. All you’ll need to do is download the “Goosechase” app on your smartphone or tablet, and then search for the “Los Alamos Small Business Saturday.” From there you’ll register and be ready to begin your quest. As you pick and choose your missions, you’ll get to see some of the participating businesses, take fun pictures along the way, and hopefully visit some local businesses you’ve never visited before!

The Chamber would like to thank everyone who participated in Small Business Saturday. Special thanks go out to Cyndi Wells of Pet Pangaea. Cindy helped bring Small Business Saturday to Los Alamos and continues to be the driving force behind Los Alamos' participation in this huge event.
