Scenes From 2015 Los Alamos Quilt Show

COMMUNITY News:
The 2015 Los Alamos Quilt Show brought out a wealth of creative pieces to share with the community Friday and Saturday at the Crossroads Bible Church, 97 East Road.
Handmade quilts of all types including wall hangings, table runners, art quilts and bed quilts of all sizes and for all occaissions were on display. The “Smokey River Quilt”, was this year’s Donation Quilt. The quilt was pieced and quilted by members. This beautiful quilt was raffled Saturday afternoon.
There also was a special section of second-hand and gently used quilt-related items for sale including fabric, books, tools, patterns, equipment, unfinished projects and other quilting-related items.
Once again there also will be a Silent Auction at the Quilt Market with children’s quilts, wallhangings and table runners. There also is a Christmas wall hanging of the 12 days of Christmas. Winners will be announced at 3 p.m. and do not need to be present to win either the Smokey River Quilt or items from the Silent Auction.
The Los Alamos Peacemaker’s do various projects and have made more than 40 quilts for the Little Bear Fire victims. The LA Peacemaker’s meet the 4th Tuesday of each month at the United Church in Los Alamos and welcome those interested in joining the Quilt Guild.
