Sandia; Kirtland Holding Joint Environmental Meeting

The Department of Energy (DOE) and Department of Defense (DOD) will host their semi-annual public meeting about the Sandia National Laboratories Environmental Programs and the Kirtland Air Force Base Environmental Restoration Program
The meeting is set for 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23 at the Cesar Chavez Community Center, 7505 Kathryn Southeast in Albuquerque, off Louisiana Boulevard and Zuni.
DOE will present about Sandia issues between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The agenda includes presentations about the environmental restoration efforts at Sandia, as well as the recently released draft Hazardous Water Permit by the New Mexico Environment Department.
The Permit includes a proposal for determining that corrective action is complete for 24 solid waste management units.
