Police Investigate Collision at Trinity and Diamond

By Greg Kendall
A two-car collision occured at approximately 11:15 a.m. today, at the corner of Trinity Drive and Diamond Drive.
The driver of a small black vehicle told the Los Alamos Daily Post that he had been driving behind a red car at the corner of Trinity Drive and Oppehiemer Street when he saw the red car run a red light and "nearly sideswipe a pedestrian" in the crosswalk at the intersection.
The driver of the black vehicle said he had arrived at the intersection of Trinity and Diamond ahead of the red car, saw the red car approaching from behind and ultimately crashing into the back of his vehicle at an estimated rate of about 20 miles per hour.
The driver of the black vehicle reported that he was unharmed by the collision. The extent of injuries to the woman driving the car are unknown, however, firefighters were seen assisting her from her car.
Damage to both vehicles appeared to be minor. Police are investigating reports from the scene.
