Luján Joining Richard for Local Door Knocking Saturday

Campaign volunteers and Democratic activists will gather at the new Democratic Party of Los Alamos Headquarters to listen to Luján make remarks about the importance of the upcoming election and to give words of encouragement to volunteers.

Afterwards, Richard and Luján will knock on doors in Los Alamos to speak to voters about their respective campaigns.
“In the age of social media, old fashioned shoe leather and face-to-face contact is still the best way to connect with voters on important issues. It is crucial for voters to understand how the Romney/Ryan plan that calls for drastic spending cuts will negatively impact the economy here in Los Alamos,” Luján said in a news release.
First elected in 2008, Luján is running for re-election in New Mexico’s Third Congressional District.
Earlier this year, he was named Ranking Member of the Indian and Alaska Native Affairs Subcommittee. During his time in Congress, Luján has been a strong advocate for Los Alamos National Laboratory, working to expand the Lab’s mission and advocating for additional funding for environmental cleanup.
