The 2012 class of Leadership Los Alamos participants met at Fire Station 3 in White Rock Friday to learn about issues impacting the region.

“The purpose of this session is to increase knowledge and understanding of our neighboring communities including their accomplishments and challenges,” said County Council Chair/Leadership Los Alamos cofounder Sharon Stover. “We’ll look at their plans for the future and issues of transportation, economic development, indigent and youth to enable our region to be better prepared.”

Los Alamos Police Chief Wayne Torpy is chairing this year’s Leadership Los Alamos program and presented Friday’s leadership discussion.
