FBI: Man Wearing White Hard Hat, Orange Vest Tries To Rob Albuquerque Bank

A man wearing a white hard hat and an orange safety vest attempted to rob a northeast Albuquerque bank and fled on a purple bicycle Tuesday Dec. 19.
 
The suspect is described as a white male with tanned skin. He is in his 20s or early 30s, approximately 6'2" tall, with a thin build. He wore a white hard hat, a white dusk mask, sunglasses or safety glasses, a dark hooded sweatshirt, an orange safety vest, dark gloves and dark pants. 
 
At approximately 4:35 p.m., the suspect entered Bank of America at 5600 Lomas Blvd. NE., and presented a demand note to a teller. The suspect fled without getting any money when he was confronted by a bank employee. He was seen on a purple bicycle heading east in an alley south of the bank.
 
The FBI may pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect. Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to call the FBI at 505.889.1300 or Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at 505.843.STOP.
