Bridge Care for Women would like to update the community regarding the contract negotiations with Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico. We are currently still in negotiations but we will continue to accept Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico Insurance into January 2017.

Los Alamos Arts Council Seeks Executive Director

Los Alamos Arts Council, a non-profit organization, promotes lifelong engagement in the arts through education and community partnerships. LAAC serves as a catalyst for economic, social, and cultural growth, by hosting over 30 performing arts and cultural programs each year, attended by more than 14,000 members of the community. LAAC Executive Director is a three-quarter time, fluctuating schedule position, with a salary range of $23,400 - $26,520 ($15-$17/hour). The manner of compensation to be negotiated. The Executive Director reports directly to the LAAC Board and is responsible for all activities, events and functions of the organization. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2017.

  12. Flexibility in work hours. Some LAAC events and activities require working evenings and weekends.

YMCA Seeks Girls Cirlce Facilitator

Girls Circle is a program that serves teenage girls who are involved in the Juvenile Justice System and/or have been identified to be at risk or who could benefit from the program. The program shall utilize the Girls Circle model which is recognized as a “promising practice” and serves to empower teenage girls by improving their self-esteem and teaching them communication and decision-making skills.

The Girls Circle Facilitator is responsible for adhering to the One Circle Foundation model, utilizing Girls Circle curriculum to prepare for and guide the class, preparing all materials and lessons, setting up and taking down the classroom space, recording and submitting attendance and participation weekly, submitting the name of the curriculum module used as well as topics addressed weekly, collecting quotes and comments from participants on an on-going basis, administering and collecting pre and post surveys of participants, maintaining safety and respect in the group and the space, coordinating with a co-facilitator when appropriate, providing additional data and information as requested by JJAB and The Family YMCA, and communicating with and reporting to the JJAB Gender Programs Coordinator.
